~ The Clarity of the Hearts Truth ~

And so, the great Silver Wheel turns, and we find ourselves at Beltane, the celebration of the love of life itself. All of life is buzzing and pollinating around us, calling us to come and together and connect, to absorb each precious moment of beauty with those who we choose to share our time with.

In true Mercurial style, this month offers us many shifts and changes. We begin the month with a square between Venus in Gemini and Nebulous Neptune in Pisces on the 4th of May. This aspect will repeat itself 3 times during Venus’s long journey through Gemini this year. How can we balance emotional intelligence with the longing to merge with another? The lines between fantasy and reality are dangerously blurred with this alignment.

On the 6th of May, the nodes of fate and karma switch signs for the first time since late 2018. The North Node exits Cancer and heads into Gemini, making the sign of the celestial twins our collective point of evolution for the next 18 months. The South Node of release finally leaves Capricorn, transitioning into fiery Sagittarius.

The Gemini/Sagittarius axis invites us to let go of our rigid ideologies and judgements so that we can open our mind to new perspectives. The intense focus on the sign of Gemini over the coming months will encourage us all to break free of stagnant attitudes/programs and spiritual superiority and recognise that the truth is ever changing. The more we think we know, the less knowledge we truly have!

A seductive Scorpio Full Moon rises in the skies on the 7th of May bringing deep emotional catharsis and soul cleansing. Lady Luna in the sign of the Scorpion holds a strong Kali vibration, washing away all that no longer serves. It is a time of remembering the eternal cycles of life, death and rebirth. The emotions, relationships and possessions that we are stubbornly clinging to are highlighted by this lunation.

Sitting in opposition to Sol and Mercury in Taurus, this Beltane Lunation reawakens our sensuality and invites us to explore what needs healing in our intimate relationships and sexuality. The Taurus/Scorpio axis always asks us to investigate how we are using our resources ~ physically, energetically and emotionally.

On the 11th of May, Mercury returns to one of Her home signs as she joins the North Node and Lady Venus in the sign of Gemini, amplifying our building desire to socialise and communicate. Mercury in Gemini reminds us that words are spells, as we speak so we create.

Mercury sits in a harmonious trine to Saturn who is stationing retrograde at 1 degree of Aquarius. After offering us a brief glimpse at the future we are collectively weaving into being, Saturn will now slowly journey back into Capricorn, forcing us to see where we personally and collectively need to continue to restructure and rework the old, outdated systems. As we head into the Autumn/Winter months, we may see a reprisal of themes we were dealing with in January and March this year.

Saturn re-enters Capricorn on the 2nd of July, She will Station direct on the 29th of September and shift back into Aquarius on the 17th of December. She will join with Jupiter at 0 degrees Aquarius on the Winter Solstice!

On the 13th of May, Venus the Lover Goddess stations retrograde at 21 degrees Gemini, initiating a 40-day long immersion into discovering our hearts truths. Venus retrogrades always invite us to clear and purify our hearts shadows as we take Innana’s journey into the underworld to meet the Dark Goddess within. Venus retrograde is a strip tease of the soul, calling us into deep examination of our relationship to others and ourselves. Old relationship karma, issues of worthiness, receptivity to abundance, finances and resources, and self-value all rise up to be felt and integrated.

During this period, we will be called to look at where we are being superficial, skirting above the surface and denying the truth to ourselves. We will be investigating how aligned our relationships are with our hearts wisdom. We may need to liberate ourselves from those partnerships that no longer reflect who we are becoming.

Gemini is the sign of divine duality, asking us to embrace opposites without going to extremes. She teaches us of the dance of light and dark, creation and destruction. Perhaps the fixed ideas society imposes around marriage, romance and commitment need to be reviewed and reflected upon as we seek to embrace the ever-changing nature of love and life itself. Perhaps the only thing we can truly commit to at this time is learning to love ourselves more deeply.

What we once believed to be ultimate, irrevocable wisdom may shape shift into a completely fresh perspective under the influence of Gemini the divine trickster. It is only through having multiple choices we are able to define truth for ourselves.

Can we learn to love in ways that allow us and our partners to feel free? Alternatively, the flirtatious, non-committal nature of Venus in Gemini may cause some disruption, as we are tempted to explore new connections. If we are feeling constricted or unhappy, we must have the courage to be radically honest with our loved ones.

Venus will station direct at 5 degrees Gemini on the 25th of June, leaving Her retrograde Shadow on the 29th of July. She will not enter Cancer until the 7th of August!

Also on the 13th, Mars the Warrioress enters Pisces. Here in the waters of the cosmic void the iron will of Mars becomes dispersed and diffused adding to the collective vibration of confusion as the personal planets gather in the mutable signs. In sensitive Pisces, Mars blurs our boundaries and enhances our desire to avoid reality and intoxicate our systems creating a heady atmosphere of illusion. With Venus now also retrograde we must be extra vigilant and discerning around how and with whom we are investing our energy. People and opportunities may not be what they seem at this time. Not all that glitters is gold.

Mars in Pisces helps us to direct our energy towards healing and inner work, calling us to turn within and find the answers within our own heart. Mars will blaze into Aries on the 27th of June, where She will remain until early 2021 as She to stations retrograde in September.

Jupiter stations retrograde in Capricorn alongside Pluto on the 14th of May. Over the long summer months, we will be reviewing and re-working what was set into motion in early 2020. Jupiter will station direct on the 12th of September at 17 degrees Capricorn. During this time, we may feel the urge to focus upon our scared work, yet the playful, quicksilver Gemini frequency distracts us with many different options and ideas!

On the 20th of May, Sol enters Gemini, closely followed by Lady Luna on the 22nd giving us our annual New Moon in the sign of the Celestial Sisters. Mercury, the ruler of this Lunation will sit in tight conjunction with Retrograde Venus at this time enhancing the lessons of truthful communication, reprogramming relationship patterns and heartfelt self-expression.

Neptune once again sits in square to the Love Goddess and now also the Messenger, opening a portal of infinite potentialities and connections, but which is the correct one for us? Insights and downloads pour in, but which ones are ready to be captured and brought into manifestation?

The Shadow of Gemini is mental overwhelm, disinformation and untrustworthiness. This month the fog of propaganda and media manipulation may reach unprecedented heights. Keep coming back to your inner truth. Only you can know what is truly right for you.

The medicine of Gemini is the ability to be flexible, open and ready to change. We navigate the twists and turns of our pathway moment by moment, our perception of reality shifting and shimmering like sunbeams dancing across the surface of the ocean. Gemini takes nothing seriously, encouraging us to become child-like and experimental.
